I coordinate closely with venue teams to ensure my spot on the mic does not miss a beat, no matter the layout of the space. Experience has taught me that the venue is a massive part of the wedding script. I have hosted everything from five-day marathons at expansive properties like The Destino to precise, high-energy events at Iksha Conventions. Each space comes with its own unique requirements. Big halls require careful coordination with the sound team to prevent echo and ensure speech clarity. Outdoor spaces, meanwhile, need a different approach. Keeping the crowd engaged when they are spread across a larger area requires me to move and interact, not just stand behind a podium. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all hosting. Before the event, I walk the floor. I check where the DJ setup is, where the guests will be seated, and where the natural focal points are for the grand entrance or cake cutting. By understanding the venue flow, I can guide your guests from the ceremony to the dance floor without a second of awkward downtime.
