For instance, when working with dark skin tones, a standard nude lipstick often washes the client out. I teach my students to ditch the guesswork and pair a nude shade with a deeper brown lip liner to create a seamless ombre effect. It’s these small, technical shifts in your application that separate a hobbyist from a professional who understands the science of color on different complexions. When you enter the bridal industry, you aren’t just working on one face type. You’re working on mothers with mature skin, grooms who need subtle grooming, and clients with diverse skin conditions like vitiligo or albinism. My curriculum at MBM School is built around this reality. ### Vitiligo & Corrective Base We don't just 'hide' patches. I teach you how to identify the client's true complexion—the skin without patches—and treat it as your base target. It requires a precise understanding of color correction that goes beyond basic peach concealers. ### Mature Skin Techniques Forget the heavy, cakey look. For mature clients, it’s about minimal glitter and soft eye makeup that doesn’t settle into fine lines. We focus on techniques that lift and refresh the face rather than highlighting texture. ### Groom Makeup Men want to look polished, not made-up. We practice light contouring to maintain masculine structure and use balms for hydration instead of pigmented lipsticks. ### Inclusive Education My goal is to make you a versatile artist. Whether it’s matching a foundation to body skin to avoid that 'mask' effect or working with students who have different learning needs, we focus on the practical skills that define a career.
