Here is how we balance structure, light, and privacy to create your personal oasis. ## Photos and videos - ![An intimate indoor pool area where we used a mix of materials like rustic finish stone and wood to create a warm, enclosed space. We focus on creating a visual dialogue between the water and the surrounding space, using elements like polycarbonate roofs to maximize natural light or rustic stone to ground the atmosphere, ensuring your retreat remains functional throughout the year. Our approach to recreational and wellness architecture is rooted in creating experiences rather than just building volumes. We look at the space as a living entity, whether it is a private indoor pool requiring acoustic treatment and specific humidity management, or an outdoor wellness area that needs to harmonize with the Karnataka climate. ### The Technical Side of Relaxation When we draft plans for pools and leisure zones, our GFC (Good for Construction) drawings cover the essentials that homeowners often overlook. We map out precise drainage layouts, lighting plans for both ambient and task illumination, and structural integration for features like cantilevers or custom privacy screens. For indoor projects, we specify fire-retardant materials and high-traffic stone finishes that resist moisture, ensuring the longevity of your investment. ### Designing for Light and Privacy One of our signature techniques involves using structural elements to control light. In projects like the one featured here, we used a polycarbonate roof to soften harsh daylight, turning it into a diffused, comfortable glow. This reduces glare, making the area usable at different times of the day. Similarly, we integrate patterned screens or landscape buffers to provide privacy without making the area feel boxed in. ### Collaborative Process We believe the best spaces come from a shared vision. When you work with Team Maya, we guide you through the process from initial 3D visualization—so you can see how the shadows fall in your space—to final material sourcing. We handle the technical challenges of climate-responsive orientation, ensuring that your wellness space is not just beautiful to look at, but truly a pleasure to spend time in. ## About Maya Architects At Maya Architects, we believe every recreational space should tell a story and feel like a natural extension of your home. Team Maya works closely with you to transform forgotten corners into places of rest, ensuring that light, volume, and material work in harmony.
