When I work on these traditional pieces, I don't just paint; I focus on preserving the heritage I grew up with in Mysuru, ensuring that the final canvas—whether a deity or a spiritual landscape—feels like a piece of history for your space. Creating traditional art is our way of slowing down. Whether it is the intricate gesso work found in authentic Mysore paintings or the soft, storytelling visuals of a Pichwai canvas, the process is always deliberate. My husband Supraj and I believe that spiritual art should not just fill a wall, but bring a sense of calm to a room. We start by discussing the story you want to tell. Are you looking for a serene Pichwai scene featuring cows and lotuses, or perhaps a portrait of a deity that holds personal significance? Once we finalize the layout and mood, I begin the layering process. Traditional Mysore pieces require incredible patience—the gold foil work is delicate and needs time to set, while oils or acrylics on canvas are built up slowly to achieve depth. Why choose a hand-painted piece? - Authenticity: We use high-grade artist materials that last for generations, not just digital prints. - Customization: Want a specific spiritual motif or a particular color palette to match your mandir or living room? We build it around your vision. - Process-Driven: From the initial sketches to the final archival varnish, you get a glimpse into how your art evolves. We ship our canvases across India, carefully packed to ensure the details arrive untouched. If you have an idea in mind, let’s chat about bringing that traditional touch home. ## About Mannki Art I’m Sharanya, and I live for the slow, meditative process of traditional art.
