Our DIY vegetable kits come with pre-measured organic manure and UV-treated grow bags designed for root health, so you aren't guessing how much soil or nutrition to add. Whether you are starting with coriander or chillies, we ensure you have exactly what is needed to see those first greens sprout in a week. Starting your own kitchen garden in an urban space like Delhi/NCR is simpler than most people think, but it does require attention to a few basics. ### Why Grow Your Own? There is a real satisfaction in harvesting produce that hasn't been sitting in a supply chain for days. Beyond the taste, it offers a consistent, rewarding daily routine. It also lets you control exactly what goes into your soil, ensuring your herbs and veggies are truly organic. ### Getting Started If you are a beginner, sunlight is your most important resource. Most vegetables need at least 4 to 5 hours of direct sunlight. If your balcony gets this, you are already halfway there. Our starter kits are designed to remove the guesswork: * **Seeds:** We include 4 to 6 varieties like Spinach, Tomato, or Chilli that are well-suited to our local climate. * **Grow Bags:** We provide UV-treated fabric bags. These are superior to plastic pots because they allow roots to breathe, preventing the rot that often happens in the humid monsoon months. * **Nutrition:** You get a mix of vermicompost and coco-peat. This combination retains moisture during Delhi's hot summers while providing the steady nutrient release your plants need to fruit. ### Maintenance Tips * **Watering:** Don't water on a schedule. Stick your finger an inch into the soil; if it feels dry, it is time to water. Overwatering is the biggest mistake new gardeners make. * **Pest Check:** Inspect the underside of your leaves weekly. If you spot anything unusual, neem oil is usually enough to clear it up early. We provide everything you need to start, but the real magic happens when you show up daily to check on your plants. ## About ManBhawan We are the ManBhawan Family, and we are obsessed with helping you get your hands dirty.
