Platforms like 3dtotal offer amazing free PDF resources on character design and anatomy that you can start using today. It is not just about collecting these files, though. In my 1 on 1 sessions, I help you apply this theoretical knowledge to actual projects so your portfolio stops looking like a collection of tutorials and starts looking like industry-ready work. Starting out in design or illustration is overwhelming. I know the feeling of wanting to improve but not knowing where to look, or getting stuck in tutorial hell. I have spent years digging through resources, and honestly, the best ones are often free if you know where to search. Whether you are prepping for NIFT or trying to land your first UX role, practice is key. My goal is to make sure you are not just consuming content but actually learning from it. ### How to study effectively: * **Identify gaps:** Are you struggling with character anatomy, or is it your UX design logic that needs work? * **Execute over collect:** Do not just save PDFs. Pick one technique and execute it immediately. * **Get feedback:** Self-study has a blind spot. You cannot critique your own work effectively because you are too close to it. If you find yourself stuck in a loop of watching videos without seeing growth, let us talk. I offer portfolio audits where we go through your current projects, yes even the ones you think are not good enough, and turn them into case studies that hiring managers actually want to see.
