## About My Pro Tips & Techniques

If you struggle with acne or uneven texture, stop stroking your foundation on. It just moves the product around and highlights the bumps. Instead, use a dabbing motion with a damp sponge or a thick buffing brush. This presses the pigment into the skin rather than sliding it across, giving you that seamless, second-skin finish without shifting the primer or concealer underneath.

### Beyond the Basics
Great makeup isn't just about buying expensive palettes; it’s about knowing the 'why' behind each step. Whether you are a bride prepping for your big day or an aspiring MUA looking to level up your skills, technique is what separates a cakey finish from a flawless one.

### The Skin Prep Protocol
Before I touch a brush, I look at the canvas. Hydration is non-negotiable. I rely on caffeine-infused under-eye creams to de-puff before applying base products. For clients with visible pores, I recommend salicylic acid treatments rather than trying to 'fill' them with heavy silicone primers, which can often look worse in high-definition photos. Always exfoliate gently—a clean canvas holds makeup better than one dealing with dead skin.

### Foundation & Base Mastery
When applying foundation, I always start from the center of the face and blend outward. This keeps the coverage highest where you need it most and keeps the edges looking natural. For those tricky areas like melasma or deep pigmentation, color correcting isn't just about using a bright shade—it’s about neutralizing the undertone. Yes, it might look slightly orange or green for a moment, but that is the secret to a neutral base that doesn't turn grey.

### Hygiene: The Pro Standard
If you are a student at my academy in Mumbai, the first thing you learn is brush care. Dirty brushes transfer bacteria and make blending a nightmare. I teach deep cleaning with low-fragrance soap bars and air-drying brushes to protect the glue in the bristles. Clean tools are the foundation of a professional look—it shows your client you care and ensures the finish is consistent every single time.
