Instead, I prioritize breathable, sheer-coverage bases like NARS Sheer Glow that look natural in bright light while letting your skin breathe. I apply a deep-hydration skin prep before we even start, ensuring your makeup stays put and retains that 'glass skin' finish even after hours of dancing or getting messy with turmeric. Your Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies are all about movement, laughter, and candid moments. Because these events usually happen outdoors or in bright daylight, the technique needs to shift from a 'full glam' event look to something that feels fresh and transparent. ### Why Daytime Makeup is Different I don’t believe in masking your skin with heavy layers. For these events, I lean into my signature 'second-skin glam.' I focus on high-end emollients and cream-based products that reflect light naturally. This technique prevents the makeup from settling into lines or looking chalky under the sun. ### The 'Glass Skin' Resilience Even for a daytime look, longevity is key. Whether it’s a long Mehendi session or a messy Haldi, I use waterproof eye makeup and sweat-resistant sprays that are invisible to the naked eye but hold everything in place. You shouldn’t have to worry about your lipstick fading or your base sliding off while you’re enjoying your celebration. ### Coordinated Floral Styling Makeup isn't the only element here. I work closely with hairstylists to ensure your floral jewelry and hair accessories—whether it's bubble braids or soft, romantic curls—are secured properly so they stay comfortable throughout the day. I also keep a curated 'bridal care kit' on-site, including straws and fashion tape, because I know how frantic and fun these pre-wedding hours can get.
