We keep our batches limited to 5 students so every child gets hands-on time with the motors and gears, ensuring they understand the physics of the mechanics rather than just following instructions. ### How We Teach Automotive Mechanics Learning should be an adventure. In our car engineering workshops, we move beyond textbooks to explore complex mechanical systems through LEGO Technic. By building functional models, students gain an intuitive understanding of the engineering principles that power real vehicles. ### Core Engineering Concepts We break down the complexity of automotive design into manageable, exciting lessons: * **Drivetrains:** Students build and compare front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drive systems to see how power moves from the engine to the wheels. * **Suspension Systems:** We experiment with independent and dependent suspension builds, demonstrating how these mechanisms provide stability and comfort on uneven terrain. * **Gearing and Speed:** Using different gear sizes, kids calculate gear ratios and observe firsthand how these adjustments increase speed or torque. * **Internal Combustion:** We construct working engine models, teaching children to identify components like pistons, crankshafts, and cylinders. ### The MakersLoft Approach Our workshops are designed for ages 6-14, ensuring the curriculum scales with your child’s capability.
