We host interactive nature trips where kids pot their own plants, visit our vegetable patches, and learn exactly where their food comes from. ## Photos and videos - ![Students getting their hands dirty, learning to sow seeds during a school field trip. Every child gets their own pot and soil to plant a sapling, which they then take home to nurture. It turns a simple field trip into a lasting responsibility, helping them see the actual growth process from a tiny seed to a thriving plant. ### Why Nature Matters for Kids In a city like Bangalore, finding a patch of green is rare, let alone a space where children can freely explore. Our nursery serves as an open-air classroom where curiosity is the only requirement. We have designed these sessions to bridge the gap between textbook science and the messy, beautiful reality of growing food. ### What happens during our workshops Each visit is structured to engage multiple senses: * **Hands-on Potting:** Children learn about soil health, root systems, and the patience required to watch something grow. * **Farm-to-Plate Connection:** We show them vegetable patches and explain the life cycle of the food they eat at home, helping them build healthier eating habits. * **Animal Interaction:** Meeting our resident rabbits and birds teaches them empathy and respect for other living beings. * **Sensory Exploration:** Walking through our misting systems and touching different leaf textures makes abstract biology concepts concrete. ### Practical Learning for Schools We understand that organizing a field trip involves logistics and safety concerns. Our team handles the management, keeping groups engaged and supervised so teachers can actually relax and enjoy the environment. These sessions are perfect for schools, homeschool groups, or family outings that want to focus on sustainability, ecology, and environmental responsibility. Our workshops are about more than just plants. We are cultivating a new generation that understands the value of fresh air, healthy food, and the peace that comes from working with nature. If you are a teacher or a parent looking for a meaningful outing in Bangalore, come visit us to see how we make science fun. ## About Make My Garden I’m the founder of Make My Garden, and I started these workshops because I wanted local children to know that food comes from soil, not just supermarkets. We’ve turned our space into a hub where kids can ask questions, get their hands dirty, and really connect with the environment.
