## About The Hearts Collection: Textured & Expressive

These pieces use heavy palette knife work, which means they aren’t flat prints—they have actual height and depth that catches the light differently depending on where you hang them. If you’re choosing one for a specific wall, consider the lighting; a side light really makes those textured ridges pop, giving the heart a sculptural feel that changes throughout the day.

### Understanding Texture in My Work
When I paint these hearts, I don't just use a brush. I use a palette knife to build up thick, chunky layers of acrylic paint. This is what I call impasto—it’s sculptural, messy, and intentional. You’ll see marks, ridges, and splatters because I want you to see the movement of my hand on the canvas. It’s not meant to be perfect; it’s meant to be alive.

### Color Stories and Placement
I play with color palettes to evoke specific moods. My red and orange hearts are all about fire and passion, ideal for a living room where you want to spark conversation. The blues and greens I use are cooler, inspired by nature and the heart chakra, which I find work best in spaces where you want to feel grounded and calm, like a bedroom or a reading nook. Because these are original acrylic works, the pigments are vibrant and durable.

### Practical Details for Your Space
Every piece in this collection comes on cotton canvas, finished with a protective varnish (gloss or matte) to shield it from dust and aging. I use minimalist synthetic or engineered wood frames that are open-front—no glass—so you can actually touch the texture. They arrive with pre-installed hooks, ready to hang the moment they’re unpacked. If you’re looking for something specific to match your room’s vibe or want a heart in a custom color palette, just reach out. I love doing commissions that bring your personal story to life on canvas.
