### Large Format Brewery & Resto-Bar Design (>5000 sq.ft)

Architectural zoning for expansive venues focusing on acoustics, indoor-outdoor flow, and structural features.

Typically ₹250-400 ₹ per sq. ft. (estimate)

#### **I. Spatial Zoning & Architecture**
* **Macro Planning:** Division of large floor plates into micro-experiences (intimate pockets vs. communal zones) to avoid a cafeteria look.
* **Structural Features:** Conceptualization of large-scale elements like barrel-vaulted ceilings, arched windows, or mezzanines.
* **Transitional Spaces:** Planning of indoor-outdoor flow using landscaping, flooring shifts, and facade openings.

#### **II. Fixtures & Acoustics**
* **Scale-Appropriate Lighting:** Design of massive focal light fixtures to anchor large volumes.
* **Acoustic Treatment:** Aesthetic integration of sound-dampening materials like fabric panels and textured plaster.
* **Fixed Seating:** Custom detailing of banquettes, booths, and bar counters using premium durable materials.

#### **III. Service Integration**
* **MEP Coordination:** Collaboration with engineers to mask bulky HVAC and kitchen services behind aesthetic screens.
* **Material Specification:** Selection of high-traffic grade materials like industrial concrete and dense terracotta.

### Boutique Café & QSR Design (<2000 sq.ft)

High-impact narrative interiors for compact spaces focusing on bespoke installations and artisan details.

Typically ₹450-650 ₹ per sq. ft. (estimate)

#### **I. Narrative & Concept Development**
* **Storyboarding:** Creation of unique brand narratives translated into spatial design (e.g., playful heritage reinterpretations).
* **Material Lab:** Curation of bespoke palettes using local stones like Sadharalli granite, organic lime plasters, and natural wood.
* **Space Planning:** Layout optimization for maximum seating covers versus efficient kitchen service flow in tight footprints.

#### **II. Custom Installations & Craft**
* **Signature Focal Points:** Design and prototyping of major visual elements, such as custom bead ceilings or wall art.
* **Craft Integration:** Direct coordination with artisan clusters (e.g., Channapatna or Pottery) for custom architectural elements.
* **Lighting Design:** Design of bespoke fixtures including raw silk pendants or fabric origami styles.

#### **III. Technical & Supervision**
* **Detailed GFCs:** Construction drawings including complex joinery details for mirrors, beams, and furniture.
* **Vendor Coordination:** Liaising with specific vendors for unique inputs like natural dyes or handmade tiles.
* **Site Visits:** Scheduled visits to monitor the execution of complex design elements.

Theatrical, immersive interiors for 5-star properties featuring period-correct research and sensory detailing.

Typically ₹550-850 ₹ per sq. ft. (estimate)

#### **I. Theatrical Concept & Research**
* **Deep-Dive Narrative:** Extensive historical research to create transportive themes (e.g., Prohibition Era or Kyoto style).
* **Sensory Design:** Planning the entry experience, from secret doors to the reveal of the main venue.
* **Atmosphere:** Advanced lighting strategies using low-lux, dramatic spots for moody settings.

#### **II. Hyper-Custom Detailing**
* **Haute Couture Interiors:** Design of soft elements involving intricate craft like hand-embroidery, velvet drapery, and tassels.

* **Art Curation:** Selection and placement of dramatic murals, vintage chandeliers, and artifacts.

#### **III. Hotel-Grade Compliance**
* **Safety Integration:** Ensuring theatrical designs meet 5-star hotel fire codes and safety regulations.
* **Acoustic Isolation:** Advanced soundproofing details to prevent noise bleed into guest rooms or lobbies.
* **Project Coordination:** High-frequency coordination with hotel management teams and specialist consultants.

## About Hospitality & Restaurant Design

### Our Way of Designing Spaces

For us, every restaurant, bar, or hotel is like a story waiting to unfold. I believe a hospitality space should feel memorable, not just look nice. That means I always start with a narrative - the whole vibe, the mood, even the little details - all driven by the story we want guests to feel when they walk in.

### Local Touch, Real Craft

We love working with Indian craftspeople, even if it takes extra effort. Instead of factory-made stuff, we go for handmade decor for restaurants and bars - think Channapatna lacquer lights or Kutch terracotta tiles. It adds so much soul, especially when you see the results, like that wild lacquered wood ceiling at Lucky Chan or the massive handwoven light at Biergarten.

### How We Work

- Narrative driven interiors, always tailored to the concept
- Indian artisan collaboration that brings heritage into modern design
- Natural materials: Sadharalli granite, terracotta, warm woods
- Custom lighting for restaurants, from moody jazz bars to playful diners
- Projects range from speakeasies to microbreweries to boutique hotels

### The People Behind the Scenes

None of this happens solo. Our process is all about teaming up with craft communities from Kerala to Jaipur. Clients trust us, artisans surprise us, and together we pull off spaces where you really feel the story.

## Meet your expert

### My story

Hey, Shruti here. MAIA started with a thought - let spaces talk, you know? Studied at Parsons in New York, but my heart beats desi. I’m obsessed with old-school Indian crafts. Met a thikri artisan in Udaipur, finally worked together years later - mad joy. My studio’s a bunch of curious folks, always chasing stories through design. Vogue and AD100 features? Cool, but real kick is blending handmade magic into people’s homes.

### My work

- **Interior design for homes, hotels, bars**: We do high-end interiors - residences, farmhouses, penthouses, restaurants, microbreweries, boutique hotels.
- **Indian crafts in every project**: Love working with artisans - thikri glasswork, pottery, weaving - we bring Indian crafts into every space.
- **Timeless, not just trendy**: Mixing modern vibes with tradition. Textures, natural stuff, stories - spaces feel personal, not mass-produced.
- **Clients who want something real**: Best fit? Folks who dig local crafts, want their space to feel like theirs, not just a Pinterest copy.
- **Collaboration all the way**: We team up with clients, artisans, and everyone involved. It’s all about making it together.
