These drums weigh 13 kilos, and keeping the energy high for a 3-hour wedding procession requires serious stamina. We manage this by rotating our 10-12 member squad in shifts, ensuring that the beats never drop and the sound stays powerful from the first minute to the last. ### Our Approach to Wedding Percussion When we step into a wedding venue, our goal is simple: we want your guests to feel the bass in their chest. Whether you need a tight 5-7 artist group for a store inauguration or a grand 15-20 member ensemble for a massive wedding ground, we adapt our lineup to fit the space. #### The Vibe We don't just stand in a line and play. Our Signature Shinkari Procession includes synchronized movements, swaying, and stepping that gets the baraat moving. We mix traditional Pandi Melam with cinematic BGM beats because we know that today's weddings demand a fusion of roots and modern energy. #### What to Expect * **The Sound:** We use a balanced mix of Uruttu Chenda (lead), Veekku Chenda (bass), and Ilathalam (cymbals) to create a wall of sound. * **The Attire:** You will see us in traditional white Mundu with matching Green or striped sashes, keeping the aesthetic clean and classic. * **The Logistics:** We bring everything. All instruments, sticks, and the logistics for transport within Bangalore are on us. If the event goes beyond 3 hours, we just ask for food and refreshments for the team so we can keep the energy high. If you want to add a twist, we offer fusion sets that integrate violin or flute with our Chenda beats. It’s perfect for those who want the tradition of Kerala percussion but with a contemporary edge. ## About Mahadeva Kalasamithi We aren't just a band; we’re a gang of brothers connected by our love for the Chenda. Whether it’s a wedding entry or an outdoor reception, we pour everything we have into those 13-kilo drums because we want your celebration to feel just as legendary as it sounds.
