Before I pick up a brush, I share a rough sketch or mockup so we’re on the same page, ensuring the final piece feels like it truly belongs to you. Whether it’s live painting at your wedding or a custom acrylic commission, I make sure the process is as personal as the art itself. Whether you are looking for a one-of-a-kind acrylic canvas painting or need a live event artist to capture the energy of your celebration, my approach is built on storytelling. I work with a variety of mediums, including watercolor, charcoal, coffee-sepia tones, and professional-grade heavy-body acrylics. For live events like weddings or performances, I set up a dedicated space to paint while the event unfolds, creating a piece that captures the atmosphere and the specific energy of the moment. For studio commissions, the process is collaborative. I provide a digital or pencil mockup for your approval before I begin the final layers, ensuring you are happy with the composition. Based in Bangalore, I ship my commissioned illustrations and paintings across India. Every piece is handled with care. Charcoal works receive a fixative spray, canvas sides are painted for a gallery-wrap look, and everything is packed using reinforced hardboard to survive the journey to your wall. ## About Madhuri Umashankar I’m Madhuri. I’m a self-taught artist who believes art shouldn’t just be something you look at from a distance; it should be something you feel. I thrive on turning raw emotions and personal milestones into physical stories, whether that’s on a canvas at your wedding or a watercolor sketch of your favorite view.
