We spend time sterilizing every wrap and positioning the beanbag specifically to ensure the baby stays secure. Our lighting setup is fixed for softness, meaning we don't need harsh flashes that could startle the little one. It is all about creating a calm, predictable space where the baby feels safe enough to drift off to sleep. Running a newborn-specialized studio in Sahakarnagar taught us that the technical side of photography is secondary to the comfort of the baby. When we talk about our 'workflow', it is really about managing the environment. ### The Lighting Setup To get that soft, dreamy aesthetic, we rely on controlled, diffused lighting. We avoid direct flash at all costs. Instead, we position our continuous light sources or reflectors to wrap light gently around the baby, filling in shadows without creating harsh highlights. This setup stays consistent throughout the session so we can focus entirely on the baby's position rather than adjusting lights every few minutes. ### Prop & Backdrop Management Efficiency is the secret to a smooth shoot. We organize our props—from vintage baskets to specific themed outfits—well before the client arrives. By using a standardized beanbag setup with clamps, we keep the surface smooth and safe, preventing any awkward folds that could cause discomfort. ### The 'Baby-Led' Workflow We never force a pose. Our workflow is entirely baby-led. If the baby is awake, we shoot. If they need to feed or want a cuddle, we stop. This patience is exactly what I teach in our masterclasses. A successful shoot isn't about rushing to hit a photo count; it is about respecting the baby's natural rhythm.
