Come hear my take on some regional classics. ## Photos and videos - [Video: My take on the massive hit "Enjoy Enjaami." I don't usually sing in Tamil, but this song's vibe was too good to resist. It was a challenge, but I had a great time with it.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/f9754845-1b8f-4eaf-8d60-3ac9ecbc7efd) - [Video: My school Malayalam classes finally came in handy for this cover of "Kuthanthram" from Manjummel Boys. This was my first time trying to rap in Malayalam, and it was so much fun.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/fa3cf20c-4985-4885-b37a-af7d6af002ec) ## About A Touch of Desi I’m not a native Tamil or Malayalam speaker, but the vibe of these tracks is too infectious to ignore. Expect a fun, slightly imperfect, but totally heartfelt attempt at some of your favorite regional bangers. If you want a performer who doesn't just stick to the script but actually tries to connect with the room through local hits, we’ll get along just fine. Look, I started as an English pop and rock singer, but living in Bengaluru has its way of pulling you into the local music scene. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with bringing a little Desi flavor into my sets. Whether it is a rap verse from a Malayalam movie or a classic Tamil hit, I love the challenge of learning the rhythm and the heart behind the lyrics. When you book me for a 'Touch of Desi' set, do not expect a textbook reproduction of the original. Expect the 'Livia version'—raw, energetic, and usually accompanied by me laughing at myself if I fumble a word. Why add this to your event? It breaks the ice. People are rarely expecting an English pop singer to suddenly drop a song they grew up listening to. It creates a connection that feels real, and honestly, it is just more fun for everyone. I can mix these tracks into my standard acoustic set or go full Desi mode if that is the vibe you want. Just let me know what you need. If you have a specific request, tell me early so I can practice—and maybe save myself the embarrassment of butchering the pronunciation on stage! Let’s make your event fun with some local jams. ## About Livia I’m Livia. I quit the corporate grind to focus on music, and while I grew up on 90s pop, my recent deep dive into Malayalam and Tamil music has been a total blast. If you want a performer who brings a mix of English pop and regional hits to the table, we should definitely talk.
