All you have to bring is the cake—since you know best what your little one loves to eat—and I handle all the cleanup, so you can just focus on cheering them on from the sidelines. ### Why go outdoors for a cake smash? While indoor studios are great, there is something special about the natural light in Navi Mumbai parks like Central Park or Jewel of Navi Mumbai. The open space lets kids be kids. We don't have to worry about messy floors or confined areas. I set up a signature teepee and faux grass mat to create a safe, playful 'room' in the middle of nature. This allows for a mix of shots: the intense focus on the cake, the messy hands, and the wide-angle shots of your baby exploring the grass afterwards. ### What to expect during our session These sessions are designed to be low-pressure. We block out three hours, which sounds like a long time for a toddler, but it gives us plenty of wiggle room. If your baby needs a nap break, a snack, or just some cuddle time with you to warm up, we take it. We usually start with a few clean portraits of your child and family before the 'smash' begins. Once the cake comes out, I keep my camera ready for those unscripted reactions. You get 30 retouched high-resolution images, but I also share all the raw files, so you won't miss a single funny expression or messy face. ### A few practical tips * **The Cake:** You should bring the cake. Since I don't know your baby's dietary needs or favorite flavors, you are in the best position to pick something they will actually enjoy eating. * **Wardrobe:** You can bring 2 to 3 outfits. It is often wise to have a 'messy' outfit for the smash and a clean one for the family portraits that follow. * **Siblings:** Please bring them along. Having a big brother or sister around usually makes the birthday child more relaxed and leads to some of the sweetest candid moments. ## About Little Fingers Photography I’m Sumita, and I’ve learned that a first birthday isn’t about perfect, stiff poses.
