These cakes are 'naked'. I let the rich, dark couverture chocolate and the natural tang of fresh oranges do the talking. Because I bake these with whole wheat and jaggery, you get a dense, moist sponge that feels like a treat without the heavy after-effects of white sugar. ### Why Chocolate & Orange Works There is a reason this combination is a classic. The bitterness of dark chocolate cuts through the brightness of orange, creating a balanced bite that feels decadent yet light. My whole wheat chocolate orange cake is a favourite for birthday celebrations because it feels indulgent without being heavy. ### My Healthy Baking Philosophy I believe a cake should be a treat, not a source of guilt. - **No Refined Ingredients:** You will not find maida or white sugar in my kitchen. I use organic whole wheat flour and sweeten with jaggery or date paste. - **Freshness First:** I use real orange slices and zest, not artificial essences. The aroma is natural and intense. - **The 'Naked' Style:** I prefer to skip the heavy frosting. Instead, I top my cakes with fresh fruit, herbs, or edible flowers. It looks gorgeous and tastes real. ### Customizing Your Cake Whether you need a school-friendly marble tea cake or a rich chocolate birthday cake for an anniversary, I can customize the size and toppings. Planning a party in Mumbai? Reach out early. I bake in small batches, so booking in advance ensures I can source the freshest seasonal oranges for your cake. If you have specific dietary needs like eggless or vegan versions, just let me know. ## About Naked Bakes Hi, I'm Tushima.
