It is about acoustic reconnaissance. Before I ever hit record, I map the location to identify and mitigate invisible interference like AC hums, refrigerator buzz, or street-level traffic bleed. This preparation saves you hours in post-production and ensures your dialogue remains clean and intimate, even in the middle of a bustling environment. Authentic sound recording requires more than technical skill. It requires the patience to let a space settle. Whether I am recording on a film set, in a studio, or out in the field, my goal is to remain non-intrusive. I want your subjects to forget the microphone is there so the genuine emotion of the moment comes through. ### My Technical Approach I use professional hardware like the Zoom F-Series field recorder, which utilizes 32-bit float technology. This is crucial for high-stakes recordings because it prevents digital clipping, even if a sound suddenly gets too loud. I pair this with directional shotgun boom microphones for dialogue isolation and wireless lapel systems for flexibility. For outdoor environments, I use proper blimps and wind protection to handle Bangalore’s erratic breeze or Jaipur’s bustling street noise without losing the 'texture' of the location. ### Beyond Just Recording I view audio as the soul of any visual project. If you are producing a documentary, a podcast, or an indie film, you need a soundscape that supports your narrative rather than distracting from it. I handle everything from ambient field capture to technical podcast cleanup, ensuring levels hit the -16 LUFS standard for consistent broadcast quality. I am happy to collaborate closely with your production team to identify the specific sonic world you are trying to build. ## About Navya Sah I'm Navya. I approach sound as an observer, always listening for the quiet details others might miss. Whether I am on a professional film set or out in a park, I keep my presence light and my gear ready so you get clean, honest audio without the pressure of a big crew.
