I don’t just design spaces to be bright - I shape how they feel. A bit of shadow here, a spotlight there - suddenly, your wall texture pops or your art catches the eye. My goal is to make every room feel inviting and alive, with ambient lighting for homes that adjust as your day changes. ### Layered Lighting Makes Magic I work by layering light. It’s not one-size-fits-all. We’ll use: - Ambient light for that soft, even glow (think cove lights that you barely notice) - Task lights for getting things done, like kitchen task lighting ideas that help you chop without squinting - Accent lights for living room drama - those tiny beams that make a sculpture or wall sing - Decorative fixtures that add a bit of bling ### Room by Room: Details That Matter Living rooms get more than just floor lamps - I light up walls and create cozy spots for chats. Kitchens and dining areas are about both function and beauty, with integrated lighting that makes your joinery and glassware sparkle. Bedrooms? I go for cozy bedroom lighting - soft uplights, moody corners, never harsh overheads. Even corridors get love, transforming from boring walkways to cool, dramatic passages. ### Seamless Integration My approach is all about blending light with your architecture and interiors. I want it to feel like your home glows naturally, almost like a lantern in the night. Sometimes it’s tricky - balancing drama and subtlety - but that’s what makes it special. ## Highlights Browse through Light Inspired Thinking's best work. ### [Featured](https://mytribe.in/lightinspiredthinking/residential-lighting-design/featured) - [Video: Come on a tour of my own home, where I explain my core philosophy of layered lighting. I’ve always been a bit obsessed with how light changes everything. My own house? Tore down the walls just to let it glow like a lantern at night. Bangalore Golf Club was a dream project – childhood memories and all that. Being named in the '40 under 40' for lighting design? Still can’t believe it. At the end of the day, it’s all about creating spaces that feel alive, just by playing with light. ### My work - **Architectural Lighting & Light Art**: We design lighting for homes, offices, restaurants, retail, facades, and also create light art installations. - **Layered Lighting for Mood**: We mix general, decorative, joinery, and accent lights for the right mood—relaxed, dramatic, or party-ready. - **Storytelling with Light**: We highlight textures, walls, and details, making spaces feel bigger, richer, and more interesting. - **Concept to Reality**: We start with sketches, work closely with architects, and bring the lighting vision to life together. ## More services from Light Inspired Thinking - [Commercial Lighting Design](https://mytribe.in/lightinspiredthinking/commercial-lighting-design) · ₹20-60 per sqft (estimate) - [Architectural & Landscape Lighting](https://mytribe.in/lightinspiredthinking/architectural-landscape-lighting) · ₹30-100 per sq.ft.
