I look at every hotel, bar, or restaurant and ask, “What’s the vibe here?” Whether it’s a laid-back lounge or a buzzing party spot, I use light to set that mood. My aim is for people to walk in and just feel good, even if they don’t know why. ### My Approach: Layered Lighting I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. To get that perfect atmosphere, I layer different types of light, almost like mixing colors on a canvas. - Soft ambient lighting for hotels sets the base mood and makes guests feel at home. - Accent lights highlight textures, art, or cool architecture, so the space shows off its best side. - Task lights are practical but never harsh - the bar counter, dining tables, reception, all get the right glow. - Decorative lighting fixtures in hospitality spaces bring in that touch of wow, whether it’s a standout pendant or something sculptural. ### Adding Drama I love playing with shadows and contrast. A ceiling can look taller, a wall can pop, and the whole place gets depth and character. The trick is keeping it comfy, not glaring - so guests can relax without squinting. ### Real Spaces, Real Stories Some of my favorite projects? Moody bars in Bangalore where layered lighting design for restaurants creates cozy corners, outdoor resorts in Goa with floating golden cabanas, and architectural hotels that shine at night. ### Teamwork Is Key I always team up with architects and designers, right from the start. That way, the lighting feels like it truly belongs in the space. ## Highlights Browse through Light Inspired Thinking's best work. ### [Featured](https://mytribe.in/lightinspiredthinking/hospitality-lighting-solutions/featured) - ![For the Karnataka Golf Association's bar, I designed a lighting scheme to create a sophisticated and moody atmosphere.
