Before any hardware is bought, we use hand sketches and Dialux simulations to verify lux levels and beam angles, so you know exactly how the layers—ambient, task, and accent—will transform your room before we even break ground. Lighting is not just about brightness; it is about defining the story of a room. When I work on a project, the sketching phase is where the technical work meets the artistic vision. It is the time to experiment with light and shadow, test different color temperatures, and decide where accent lighting should draw the eye. ### Beyond the Sketchbook Once the sketches are approved, we translate that vision into technical reality. My process involves: * **Dialux Simulations:** We run precise simulations to predict Lux levels, ensuring workspaces have proper focus lighting without glare, and lounges retain a soft, welcoming feel. * **Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP):** We align every light fixture with HVAC ducts and furniture layouts, ensuring nothing feels out of place or cluttered. * **Vendor-Neutral BOQ:** I provide a Bill of Quantities that is vendor-neutral, focused entirely on technical specifications like wattage, beam angles, and CRI ratings. This gives you freedom in sourcing while guaranteeing the design intent stays intact. ### Why Collaboration Matters The best spaces happen when lighting is part of the architectural conversation, not an afterthought. I work closely with your architects from the start, sharing RCP layouts and circuiting logic so the infrastructure is ready before the ceiling goes up.
