In these workshops, you aren't just practicing movement; you are learning how to manage your rope on jagged edges, place quickdraws, and clean your gear safely at the top. You will walk away with the practical skills needed to lead climb at any crag, not just the one we teach you on. ### Technical Sport Climbing in Badami Badami is iconic for its red sandstone cliffs, but it demands respect and technical competence. Our course is designed to take you from a basic understanding of climbing to the autonomy required to lead routes independently. #### What You Will Learn - **Lead Climbing Foundations:** Moving from top-rope to lead, including proper clipping techniques and minimizing rope drag. - **Anchor Management:** Learning how to clean routes, manage quickdraws, and set up safe systems for rappelling. - **Belay Proficiency:** Focusing on safety communication and dynamic belaying, essential for preventing injuries during falls. #### Logistics and Preparation We provide the hard gear (ropes, quickdraws, helmets, harness), but you need to bring the right attitude and physical readiness. Since this is an intensive, multi-day technical course, we recommend having some prior climbing experience or at least a solid fitness base to handle back-to-back climbing sessions. Accommodations and food are not included, allowing you the flexibility to choose a stay that fits your budget in Badami. We recommend booking your travel early, as these weekends are popular and require coordination with local climbing partners. ## About Lets Play Climbing I started Let's Play Climbing just to chase that bouldering buzz, and now we’re building a community that climbs, learns, and grows together. We don't just teach you how to climb; we share the mindset—the focus, the stoke, and the grit required to send a route. If you want to get out on the rock with a crew that values character as much as ability, you're in the right place.
