Our sessions focus on the fundamentals—the tatkar (footwork), hastaks (hand movements), and chakkars (spins)—but we make sure the environment stays friendly. Since this is a classical form, we enforce a strict shoe-free discipline in the studio to keep the floor clean and safe for those intricate spins, so just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes. Why learn Kathak at Let's Groove? It is not just about mastering the steps; it is about connecting with your rhythm and finding grace in movement. Led by our trainer Shubhi, these classes provide a structured yet approachable path for anyone looking to learn traditional Indian dance in Gurgaon. ### What to Expect We cover both Lucknow and Jaipur Gharana styles. You will start with the basics, breaking down complex Padhant (rhythmic recitation) into simple, digestible steps. Our curriculum is designed for both absolute beginners and those with some dance experience: * **Tatkar:** Mastering complex footwork patterns. * **Hastaks:** Learning graceful hand gestures. * **Chakkars:** Perfecting the spins unique to this style. * **Abhinaya:** Developing the art of storytelling through facial expressions. ### Class Structure We hold 8 sessions every month, scheduled twice a week for 60 minutes each. This frequency is perfect for building muscle memory without overwhelming your schedule. You will work towards learning a semi-classical or pure classical routine over the month, with the opportunity to record a performance video at the end of your module if you wish. If you have been looking for authentic Kathak classes in Sector 57, this is your place to start. We strip away the pressure and focus on your progress, your comfort, and your love for the dance. ## About Let's Groove Studio At Let's Groove, we believe classical dance should be accessible to everyone. Our instructor Shubhi guides you through the beautiful nuances of Kathak, ensuring that even if you are stepping into a studio for the first time, you feel completely at home.
