I start soaking my dried fruits and nuts in premium rum months in advance to build that deep, authentic flavour. Whether you want a simple naked finish or my homemade almond marzipan coating, everything is made in small batches and strictly free from artificial preservatives or tutti-frutti. When you pick up a treat from my Christmas menu, you are getting exactly what I bake for my own family. My kitchen in Chembur turns into a workshop of spice and spirit every winter, and I really mean it when I say the fruits need time. That rum soak is non-negotiable, ya! It gives the cake that dense, rich texture that you just cannot rush. Here is what you will find on the menu this year: * **Rum-Soaked Plum Cakes:** My signature bake. Available as a naked sponge or with a thick layer of almond marzipan. Perfect for the holiday table or sending a piece of home to loved ones overseas. * **Festive Goodies:** From marzipan sweets to brownies shaped like holiday trees, these are great for snacking or popping into a gift box. * **Custom Hampers:** I pack these in reusable wicker baskets or wooden trays, filled with cookies, brownies, and a centerpiece cake. They come ready to gift with ribbons and ornaments. Since I do not use artificial stuff, everything is made to order. If you have a specific festive theme in mind for a birthday or anniversary falling in December, I can absolutely customize a cake for that too. Just keep in mind that the plum cakes disappear as fast as the season, so message me early to reserve your spot. Whether you are hosting a big family dinner in Mumbai or need a treat shipped out, I am here to make your holidays a little sweeter. ## About Lady Bakealot I am Vanessa, and for me, Christmas is about capturing that warmth in a bite.
