To ensure the music sounds just right, we require a basic technical setup—two vocal microphones and instrument amplification—to be provided by your venue. We love connecting with our audience after the show, so do let us know if you would like to include a brief post-performance chat with us. Little Italy is more than just a concert; it is a musical travelogue. In this show, we explore the stories of Italian immigrants who moved to France and the US between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. It is a performance rooted in nostalgia, sensitivity, and a touch of playfulness. ### The Performance Our duo, featuring soprano Harmonie Deschamps and accordionist Pierre Cussac, revisits classics and folk traditions. Expect to hear original arrangements of arias by composers like Frescobaldi, Puccini, and Rossini, alongside traditional folk songs and new compositions written specifically for this program. The accordion provides a rich, texture-filled backdrop for the vocals, creating a full, evocative sound without the need for a large orchestra. ### Why Choose This for Your Event? * **Versatility:** Whether you are hosting an event in a historic church, a school, or a living room, this show adapts beautifully to the space. * **Cultural Depth:** It brings a sophisticated European flair to Indian venues, perfect for cultural festivals or private dinners seeking a unique atmosphere. * **Interactive Nature:** We believe in breaking the fourth wall. We often share the stories behind the songs and enjoy interacting with our audience, making it a great fit for educational settings or warm, conversational gatherings. We provide a professional, self-contained artistic experience. While the performance is acoustic, we handle the musical narrative entirely. You provide the space and the basic sound equipment, and we bring the history, the music, and the atmosphere. ## About Lilanoor We are Lilanoor, a French-Indian collective that believes music is the best way to bridge cultures.
