Every piece I build starts with kiln-dried solid teak, ensuring the frame remains stable even in Bangalore’s fluctuating weather. If you are looking for a dining chair that balances visual lightness with structural integrity, my hand-woven rattan backrests are a deliberate choice. The weaving provides breathable comfort, which is a practical necessity in our climate. I avoid exterior screws wherever possible, relying on traditional mortise and tenon joinery because it allows the wood to expand and contract naturally without the frame loosening over time. For those who prefer a bit more plushness, my designs incorporate high-density foam cushions with heavy-weight fabric upholstery, designed to retain their shape for years. Whether you need a spindle-back chair like the 'Alto' for a minimalist workspace or a curved, armrest-supported seat for your dining room, I customize the wood stain and fabric to ensure it fits the existing palette of your home. Everything is finished with either a hand-rubbed oil or a matte PU coating that protects the wood grain while keeping it soft to the touch.
