I use a pH-balancing primer base that acts as a sweat barrier, specifically designed to withstand the heat of the homa (fire ritual) so your base stays matte and does not melt, even if the ceremony lasts for hours. When I approach a traditional bridal look, I treat it like a technical project. The Kanjeevaram saree and heavy temple jewellery create a look that is grand, but the environment—often crowded, hot, and near a fire—is harsh on makeup. ### The Science of Staying Matte I do not just apply makeup. I start with a pre-event analysis to check for skin pH imbalances. Using a sweat-barrier primer is mandatory for these events. This ensures that even after the rituals begin, your foundation does not oxidize or turn grey. I avoid heavy, suffocating layers.
