I bake everything fresh in my home kitchen in Manbari Basti, right before your event. Because I know the Darjeeling roads can be a bit adventurous, I pack every cake in extra-sturdy boxes designed to keep your frosting perfect and your sponges stable until they hit your table. ### Baking with Heart I’ve always believed that the best cakes are the ones that remind you of home. My classic collection focuses on the essentials: high-quality sponges, stable and smooth frostings, and flavours that people actually crave. Whether it is a rich Dutch Truffle for a birthday or a simple whipped cream cake for a family tea time, I put the same level of care into the process as I do for my elaborate sculpted pieces. ### Flavours That People Crave I stick to flavours that work well in our climate and local preferences. My Dutch Truffle is a local favourite for its deep chocolate intensity, while the Rum Plum is my go-to for anniversaries and festive gatherings. If you want something lighter, my Whipped Cream options—like Red Velvet or Cookies & Cream—are always a crowd-pleaser and perfect for smaller gatherings. ### How Ordering Works Since I am a home baker, every cake is a one-on-one project. Here is what you can expect: * **Customisation:** You can choose your base (Vanilla, Chocolate, Red Velvet) and your frosting (Whipped Cream or Swiss Meringue Buttercream). * **The Personal Touch:** I include a basic, nice cardstock topper and standard candles, so you don't have to scramble for extras last minute. * **Delivery:** I deliver across Darjeeling (within 10km). I use special sturdy boxes that can handle the slopes and winding roads, ensuring your cake arrives exactly as it left my kitchen. Whether it’s a birthday message for your partner or a cake for a family get-together, tell me what you have in mind. Let’s get a sweet treat on your table. ## About KolmarieKakes I’m Komal, and for me, baking is all about sharing sweetness, one cake at a time. It’s hard work, and sometimes the roads here in Darjeeling make deliveries a real challenge, but seeing you smile when the cake arrives makes every late night worth it.
