With over 20 years of experience as a Ranji Trophy player and BCCI-certified coach, I believe cricket is as much about mental toughness as it is about skill. Let me show you how I build champions. ## Photos and videos - [Video: An introduction to my coaching philosophy. With over 20 years of experience, I've learned that the mental side of cricket is just as important as the physical skills. I review the 'Positive Diary' entries my students keep. It’s a tool I use to spot the subconscious negative loops that stop a talented batter from converting starts into big scores, even in the nets. ### Building the Elite Mindset I have seen too many players with perfect technique fail when the pressure mounts. Whether you are playing club cricket or aiming for the Ranji squad, the game is played between your ears as much as it is on the pitch. My coaching journey started on the grounds of MIG Club, and after two decades of playing at the highest levels and coaching MCA teams, I have realized that talent needs to be paired with mental structure. ### Why the 10-Year Rule Matters Parents often ask me how fast their child can reach the 'elite level.' My answer is simple: 10 years. There are no shortcuts. I have seen stars like Prithvi Shaw and Jemimah Rodrigues grow, and they didn't get there overnight. It is a consolidated effort between the coach, the player, and the family. When you train with me, we are looking at the long game. ### The Kkalpavriksha Difference My clinics in Bandra and Shivaji Park are not about monotonous net sessions. We simulate the reality of a match. We use pressure drills, distraction tactics, and environmental analysis—like wind direction and boundary dimensions—to ensure you are ready for any scenario. We don't just fix your stance; we fix your approach: * **Match Simulation:** 75-90 minute sessions with net bowlers or machines designed to replicate the stress of the final over. * **Psychological Warfare:** Learning when to bluff a batter and when to play with patience. * **Parental Support:** We host workshops to help parents create a stable environment, ensuring your home life doesn't add to the pressure of the sport. If you are ready to stop guessing and start playing with a clear, aggressive plan, let’s talk. ## About Prashant Shetty I am Prashant, and I have spent my life around the 22 yards of a cricket pitch. Whether I’m coaching at my Bandra facility or working with stars at the MCA, my goal remains the same: helping you build a brain that matches your bat speed.
