This step allows you to see the composition and confirm the expression is exactly how you imagined it. Once you give the green signal, I move to the final painting, ensuring the vibrant colours and details match the happy memory you want to preserve. ### Capturing Childhood Moments A child’s expression changes so quickly, and I love the challenge of capturing those fleeting moments on canvas. Whether it is a candid laugh, a milestone birthday, or a quiet, thoughtful look, my goal is to create a portrait that feels alive. ### How Your Portrait Comes to Life - **Reference Selection**: You share your favourite photos. If you have a specific scene in mind or want to combine elements, I can help you visualise it. - **The Sketch**: I create a rough sketch to ensure the layout is perfect. This is the stage where we make adjustments. - **Painting in Acrylics**: I use professional-grade acrylic paints on stretched cotton canvas. These are durable, vibrant, and sealed with a gloss varnish to protect against dust and yellowing. ### Why Choose an Acrylic Portrait? Acrylics are fantastic for children’s portraits because they hold bright, saturated colours beautifully. They provide a polished, high-contrast look that works well for framing in nurseries, living rooms, or as a thoughtful gift for grandparents. Because I focus on high-detail rendering, I make sure textures like clothing and hair look soft and realistic. ### Delivery and Care I treat every piece as a delicate memory. Your canvas is carefully bubble-wrapped and shipped to ensure it arrives safe at your doorstep. If you are based in the Mumbai Metropolitan area or beyond, I make sure the shipping process is secure so the only thing you have to worry about is finding the perfect spot on your wall to hang it. ## About Karishma Joshi I’m Karishma, and for me, painting portraits is about more than just colour. I focus on the little things—the twinkle in a child's eye or a cheeky smile—so that when you look at the canvas, you remember that exact moment in their life.
