Every session starts with gear checks and warm-ups, followed by drills that teach balance and proper technique. Whether your child is a complete beginner nervous about falling or a pre-teen ready for tricks, our coaches keep the ratios small so everyone gets the attention they need to progress safely. At Kids Hive, we know skating is about more than just moving fast. It builds focus, core strength, and the resilience to get back up after a tumble. Our outdoor paved zones in Civil Lines are specifically designed to give kids a safe environment to learn, away from street traffic. We offer separate paths for roller skating and skateboarding. For roller skating, we focus on stride mechanics, weaving through cones, and cardiovascular health. For the skateboarders, our expert instructors take them from learning to stand and balance to mastering their first ollie or tail tap. Safety is our non-negotiable priority. We require helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads for every student, and we ensure the right gear is used from day one. Classes are structured in small groups, which allows our coaches to provide hands-on spotting for younger children and technical correction for older ones. Whether you are looking for a weekend hobby or a serious sport, we have batches for ages 2.5 to 12. You can expect a consistent routine: warm-ups, skill drills, and guided practice that builds confidence with every class. ## About Kids Hive I am a mom of two and built Kids Hive right here in Civil Lines to be the space I wanted for my own kids.
