Indian classical vocal music is a discipline of deep listening and dedicated riyaz. At our academy, we maintain a traditional baithak style environment in Delhi, where the teacher-student relationship remains the foundation of your progress. We believe that vocal proficiency is not just about talent; it is about the rigour you bring to your daily practice. ### Building Your Foundation We start every student with Sargam exercises to ground your pitch. It is common for beginners to rush into complex compositions, but we emphasize vilambit training to understand the nuance of each sur. Whether you are preparing for Gurbani Kirtan or seeking a deep dive into Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet, you will learn to execute complex taans and alaaps with clarity and control. ### The Role of Rhythm You cannot master Indian vocals without mastering the rhythmic cycle. Our curriculum integrates live Tabla accompaniment into sessions. This forces you to internalize the 16-beat Teentaal or the 10-beat Jhaptaal while singing, preventing the common mistake of focusing solely on melody.
