That same mindset applies to the homes I design, where I look at how sunlight hits your living room or how specific fixtures can change the mood of your bedroom at night. It is not just about the structure, but how you feel when you step into the space. Architecture for me is a constant learning process. Sharing my thoughts on lighting design at events like D-arc BUILD isn't just about professional recognition; it is a way to stay connected with the latest techniques and share the core philosophy I practice at kenAR Architects. ### Why I Design This Way My approach to architecture relies on a simple premise: God is in the details. Whether it is a luxury villa in Bengaluru or a terrace garden, I spend as much time obsessing over the material finishes and soil quality as I do on the floor plan. * **Lighting as Atmosphere:** As I discussed on the panel, lighting is not just about visibility. It is about crafting an ambiance. I integrate layered lighting schemes—from soft LEDs under steps to dramatic tree uplighting—to make your home feel alive after sunset. * **Process-Driven:** We are not an office that hands over a drawing and walks away. My team and I are hands-on, from the initial sketches to the final day of handover. We handle the heavy lifting, including construction management and material selection, so you don't have to navigate the stress of a build. * **Rooted in Reality:** I don't just design for magazines. I design for your lifestyle. We look at practicalities like Vastu requirements, structural load limits for terrace gardens, and local material sourcing to ensure your home is as functional as it is beautiful. If you want to talk about your space—whether you are looking for a design expert for a new build or a renovation—let's start with a conversation about what you need. ## About kenAR Architects I am Ajay Kumar Verma, and at kenAR Architects, we treat every blueprint like a promise.
