In our small batches, we move away from simple 'copy-the-drawing' styles and focus on technique—teaching your child how to see facial proportions and control their pencil pressure so they can draw what they actually see, not just what they think they see. ### How We Teach Portraiture Many parents worry that sketching is too technical for kids, but when broken down into steps, it becomes a puzzle that is fun to solve. My approach is to help students deconstruct a face into shapes before they ever worry about the finer details. ### The Learning Process * **Understanding Light:** We start by identifying where the light source is in a photo. This is the biggest difference between a flat drawing and one that looks 3D. * **Control and Texture:** Using charcoal and graphite, we practice layering. We learn how to make hair look soft, skin look smooth, and eyes look bright using different pencil pressures. * **Step-by-Step Guidance:** No child is left to struggle alone. Because we cap our batches at 4-5 students, I can watch their work in real-time on Zoom or Google Meet, giving them immediate feedback on their shading techniques. ### Why Choose Our Online Classes It is not about watching a pre-recorded video; it is a live, interactive session. I treat every student like my own kiddo, ensuring they feel confident enough to experiment. Whether we are drawing a family member or a cartoon character, the goal is for your child to walk away feeling proud of what they created. You don't need a fancy studio at home—just a quiet spot, a device, and the right pencils, which I will help you source so you are never guessing what to buy. ### Is this for your child? If your child loves drawing and wants to get better at making things look 'real', this is the right place. We keep the environment stress-free because that is when the best creativity happens. ## About Khushiyan Drawing Classes I am a teacher who believes art is the best way to help children grow and think for themselves. I started these classes after watching my own daughter, Divyanshi, turn her dreams into sketches, and now I love helping my kiddos find their own creative path through drawing.
