We take our brushes to local parks and art fairs to find real inspiration. ## Photos and videos - ![I love my students. Painting on location helps us see colours and light in a whole new way.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/e7a9e3dc-4122-4dd7-b717-7158751bbb1b) ## About Art Adventures Painting on location teaches us to see light and shadow differently than photos do. When we head out to local spots or art fairs like Chitra Santhe, the goal is for students to observe real world subjects and translate them onto paper with confidence. Getting out of the studio changes how we look at the world. In the classroom, we control the light. Outdoors, the sun moves, shadows shift, and everything feels alive. These adventures help students learn how to capture a scene quickly before the conditions change. We organize field trips to major events like Chitra Santhe to show our students what professional art looks like in the real world. It bridges the gap between learning techniques like wet on wet watercolor or sketching perspective and seeing how other artists apply those skills. Whether we are at a local park in Bannerghatta or exploring an urban setting, these sessions teach patience and observation. It is not just about the final painting. It is about learning to focus on what matters in a busy environment. We make sure every outdoor session is structured enough to learn, but relaxed enough to actually enjoy the process of painting. ## About KD School of Arts I started KD School of Arts to make creativity accessible and fun. Seeing my students get excited about painting in the park is why I love teaching.
