This ensures that every student, whether a beginner or a regular at my Karate camps, learns the authentic kambu (staff) grip and traditional footwork directly from those who have dedicated years to this art. Silambam is more than just a martial art; it is a part of our local heritage. In our training, we focus on the foundational movements, starting with proper staff handling, stick rotation (sulatru), and balanced footwork. **What makes our training unique?** * **Authentic Guidance:** We do not just stick to basic movements. By inviting guest masters, we provide exposure to specific techniques and styles that help students understand the depth of the art. * **Hands-on Instruction:** Whether we are training at a function hall like AGS Mahal or school premises, we maintain manageable group sizes so that our senior instructors can provide individual corrections. * **Inclusive Environment:** You will see students of all ages participating. Even young kids who are just starting their journey learn to handle the staff with discipline and respect for the weapon. This training is ideal for those looking to build focus, improve hand-eye coordination, and connect with traditional Tamil martial arts. We conclude our sessions by ensuring every student feels confident in their new skills.
