For an ad agency project, we placed meeting rooms as 'containers' in the center of the floor. This wasn't just a design choice, it freed up the entire periphery along the windows for the actual work areas, ensuring everyone gets natural light and air. It’s about organizing the space to fit how you really work, not just filling it with furniture. We approach workspace design as a way to tell your company's story. Whether it’s an advertising agency or a manufacturing facility, we strip away the corporate gloss to find the functional core. For White Canvas, an ad agency, we used the 'blank canvas' concept. We placed the meeting rooms in the center as separate 'containers', keeping the workstations along the windows. This lets light and air flow through the whole space, rather than bottling it up in closed offices. Then, for Ananya Technologies, we took a different route. They make components for aircraft, so we designed the office to feel like an integrated circuit board. We left the ceiling exposed, using color-coded red and blue pipes as electrical conduits that run across the top. It’s an industrial aesthetic, but it serves a real purpose. It saves the cost of a false ceiling while creating a unique visual language that connects directly to what the company does. We’re always looking to repurpose what’s on-site. In many of our office projects, we’ve taken waste wood and blockboard from the carpentry work and used it to create partition walls and textured surfaces. It’s a bit of raw, honest beauty that feels more authentic than standard, glossy corporate interiors. ## About Kamat & Rozario Architecture I'm Lester, and along with Smruti, we run Kamat & Rozario Architecture.
