Whether you need a team for an intimate cultural event or a full-scale festival performance, our women artists stand alongside our male percussionists, ensuring the 'Simha Garjjanam' (lion's roar) of our Melam resonates with absolute authenticity. ### A New Era of Tradition At Kalavadhyam, we believe that art knows no gender. Our journey in Bangalore has been defined by a commitment to the 'kshethra style' of percussion, and we are deeply proud to see our female students stepping forward with confidence. Seeing artists like Shibila and Aarathi perform is not just about entertainment; it is a testament to the fact that passion and discipline can break any cultural barrier. ### The Strength of Our Ensemble Our female artists undergo the same rigorous training as all our students under the guidance of Gurunaadhan Shri Dheeraj Edat. They master the complex cycles of Panchari and Pandi Melam, learning to balance the weight of the Chenda and the intricate timing of the Ilathalam. We provide inclusive ensembles that can perform at: * **Cultural Festivals:** Adding an authentic Kerala touch to events across Karnataka. * **Private Ceremonies:** Bringing the traditional sounds of the temple to your family functions. * **Corporate Celebrations:** Offering a powerful, traditional performance that leaves a lasting impression. ### Why Choose Our Inclusive Ensemble? By including women in our performances, we are not just changing the stage; we are preserving the future of our art. Our ensemble ensures that the 'sthree saannidhyam' (female presence) on stage carries the same 'Simha Garjjanam' that our audience expects from Kalavadhyam. When you book us, you are supporting a tradition that values skill, dedication, and the passing of knowledge to the next generation. We bring the full equipment, traditional attire, and the seasoned leadership required to make your event a success. ## About Kalavadhyam We are Kalavadhyam. For us, this is more than just a performing group—it is a gurukulam, a family dedicated to keeping Kerala’s percussion heritage alive in Bangalore. We see no barriers in art, which is why our doors are open to every passionate student, and we are proud to see our talented female artists command the stage with equal mastery.
