My advice for this age group focuses on sturdy board books—the kind built for chewing, throwing, and endless handling. I curate boxes specifically for little hands, prioritizing high-contrast images and interactive elements that keep toddlers engaged even if they aren't ready to sit still for a long story. If your child is in the 'throw the book' phase, that is perfectly fine. They are building a positive association with the object itself, which is the first step in the journey. ### Why Start Early? Reading to a newborn or a six-month-old is not about them understanding the plot. It is about the cadence of your voice, the sensory experience of flipping thick pages, and the physical bond created during that quiet time. We see many parents struggle when they try to force 'classic' stories on a toddler who just wants to chew on the corner of a book. Let them chew. Let them skip pages. The goal at 0-6 years old is to make books a regular, non-negotiable part of the day, just like bath time or mealtime. ### Our 'Tiny Reader' Collection We stock over 50,000 books, and my favorite section is our toddler edit. You will find: * **Indestructible Board Books:** Perfect for little hands that are still mastering motor control. * **High-Contrast & Sensory Books:** Designed for infants to track shapes and colors. * **Interactive Flip-Flap & Sound Books:** Great for keeping toddlers engaged when they want to participate, not just listen. ### No Judgment, Just Stories Whether you are in Bangalore and want to visit our branches in Akshayanagar, JP Nagar, or Electronic City, or you need home delivery anywhere in India, I personally oversee the curation for new members. If you are worried about your child's limited attention span, do not be. Start with just 10 minutes. If they want to read the same book ten times in a row, let them. Repetition builds confidence. We handle the wear and tear that comes with little readers, so you do not have to worry about the condition of the library books. ## About Kahaani Box Kids Library I am Neha, and I run Kahaani Box.
