My journey from those fields all the way to the Arjuna Award and Asian Games gold wasn’t easy - lots of sangharsh (struggle). Now, my goal is simple: help naya players (new players) find their own path in this game. ### How I Train I see Kabaddi as more than just a sport. It’s about building character. You’ll see me right there on the ground, not just shouting instructions but showing you moves, correcting you in real time. - Discipline and respect come first, always. - Teamwork is non-negotiable. Nobody wins alone. - Mehnat (hard work) and lagan (dedication) - I push every player to find the champion inside. - Courage (himmat) is something we grow together, session by session. ### What You’ll Learn My sessions focus on both defensive Kabaddi drills and raiding techniques. I’ll give you feedback like “aa jump hodiyoga neenu kai support thagobeku” (when you jump, use your hand for support) - small details that make a big difference. - We train for both mud and mat, so you’re ready for any arena. - Fitness conditioning is built into every session - stamina, speed, and strength matter here. ### Who Should Join I coach juniors, pros, and entire teams. Beginners get a strong base, pros get international-level drills, and teams get help with strategy and unity. If you’ve got the passion, I’ll help with the rest. ## Highlights Browse through C Honnappa Gowda's best work. ### [Featured](https://mytribe.in/kabaddihonnappa/kabaddi-coaching-for-players/featured) - [Video: This is where the magic happens, on the ground. Life wasn’t easy - lot of kashta, but kabaddi kept me going. That first Karnataka jersey, I still get goosebumps. 1998 Asian Games, gold medal, me as vice-captain - what a day! Arjuna Award in 2000, felt like all those tough days meant something. I owe it to every coach, every teammate. Dreams do come true, with guts and discipline. ### My work - **Kabaddi Coaching for All Levels**: We train juniors to pros at Honnappa Kabaddi Academy, plus guide other coaches too. - **Hands-On Training Style**: We focus on kabaddi front charge coaching and inside charge kabaddi skills. I always say, 'ಆ ಜಂಪ್ ಹೊಡಿಯೋಗ ನೀನು ಕೈ ಸಪೋರ್ಟ್ ತಗೋಬೇಕು' (use hand support when you jump). - **Discipline & Teamwork First**: Kabaddi is a legacy, not just a game. I teach respect for the sport, not just winning. - **Future Champions Welcome**: Looking for kids with real junoon for kabaddi, whether just starting or already playing. ## More services from C Honnappa Gowda - [Kabaddi Coach Mentorship](https://mytribe.in/kabaddihonnappa/kabaddi-coach-mentorship) · ₹2-10K per session (estimate) ## Experts similar to C Honnappa Gowda on mytribe - [One-on-One Cricket Coaching by KYCA](https://mytribe.in/kycablr/one-on-one-cricket-coaching) · ₹1,500-5,000 per session (estimate) · KYCA - [Flag Football & Kabaddi Coaching by Indian Athletic Academy](https://mytribe.in/indianathleticacademy_/flag-football-kabaddi-coaching) · ₹2,200-4,500 per month (estimate) · Indian Athletic Academy (Gym) - [Sports Performance Training by Young Stars Sports Academy](https://mytribe.in/yssa.sportsacademy/sports-performance-training) · ₹800-2,500 per month (estimate) · NTI Play Ground - [Sports Coaching by Unique Sports Academy](https://mytribe.in/__unique_sports_academy__/sports-coaching) · ₹1,500-2,500 per month (estimate) · Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex - [Volleyball Coaching by Naveen Kumar Shetty](https://mytribe.in/naveenshetty_volleyball_coach/volleyball-coaching) · ₹2,000-5,000 per month (estimate) · Kittur Rani Chennamma Stadium - [High-Performance Hockey Academy by Jude Felix Hockey Academy](https://mytribe.in/jude.felix.hockey.academy/high-performance-hockey-academy) · ₹2,800-4,200 per month (estimate) · Jude Felix Hockey Academy Charitable Trust - [Competitive Sports Coaching by Vivekananda Sports Academy](https://mytribe.in/vivekananda_sports_academy/competitive-sports-coaching) · ₹2,200-9,900 per month (estimate) · Vivekanand Vidya Ashram Sr. Sec.
