It’s about your dog choosing to focus on you, even when there is a world of distractions around them. We start by building that bond first because when a dog trusts you, the 'sit', 'stay', and 'heel' come naturally. We integrate these skills into daily play, so your dog learns to listen while having fun. ### Training That Feels Like Play At our Basavanagudi facility, we don't believe in drill-sergeant training. Whether you are dealing with a distracted pup or prepping for a competition, we use positive, reward-based methods to get results. Our philosophy is simple: understand the dog, then train. When a dog is engaged and enjoying themselves, they learn faster and retain more. ### Why Focus Matters Many owners struggle with dogs that pull on the leash or ignore commands the moment they step outside. This happens when the dog hasn't been taught how to tune into their owner. We work on 'focus training' to help your dog maintain attention on you, regardless of the environment. This is crucial whether you are walking on the busy streets of Bengaluru or visiting a crowded park. ### From Pet to Performer We know what it takes to get a dog ready for the spotlight—our own Simba has even starred in films like 'Naanu Matthu Gunda'. We apply those same high standards of attention and discipline to every dog we train. If you have goals like entering the show ring, similar to our winners at the 102nd Obedience Dog Show in Ooty, we can help you build that spark. ### Our Approach: * **Connection First:** We don't just bark commands. We build a relationship so your dog *wants* to listen to you. * **Positive Reinforcement:** No fear tactics. We use treats, praise, and play to encourage good behavior. * **Real-World Skills:** We train for life, not just for a classroom. You will practice in environments that mimic real-life situations. If you are tired of struggling with leash pulling or erratic behavior, come visit us. Let’s build a happier, more attentive bond with your dog. ## About K9 Gurukul At K9 Gurukul, we treat every dog like they’re part of our own family—because they are.
