We use an open-air sand yard where dogs get dirty, run, and wrestle in the mud. It is messy, but it is how they release energy and learn social cues naturally. If you want a pristine indoor space, we might not be the right fit. However, if you want your dog to socialize and actually be a dog, this is the place. When you choose K9 Gurukul, you are not just dropping your dog off at a facility. You are joining our pack. Our Featured cluster gives you a glimpse into the reality of how we operate in Basavanagudi. We believe in supervised freedom, which is why our yard is designed for movement and interaction rather than isolation. ### Why the Mud Matters We intentionally keep our environment rustic. Dogs learn better when they are active, and sand or dirt surfaces are safer for joints than hard concrete or tile. This is where we run our group socialisation programs, helping dogs of different temperaments—from calm Golden Retrievers to high-energy Huskies—learn to navigate the world together. ### Training During Play We do not believe in keeping dogs in cages all day. Our training philosophy is built on focus and connection. We integrate commands like 'Wait' and 'No' into everyday games like fetch and tug. This teaches your dog to look to you for guidance, even when they are distracted by other dogs or the excitement of the outdoors. ### Our Commitment to Your Dog Whether you are looking for long-term boarding, daycare, or specialized obedience training, our team ensures every dog is accounted for. We handle everything from meal times to daily leash walks, keeping a routine that helps dogs settle in quickly. Because we are a smaller, family-run team, we take the time to learn your dog's specific personality and quirks. If you are looking for a place where your dog is treated like a member of the family, come by and see the pack for yourself. ## About K9 Gurukul At K9 Gurukul, we are a family. We celebrate birthdays, we go on adventures, and we train because we genuinely care about the bond between you and your dog. We are not a fancy kennel. We are a second home for your best friend.
