Every dog undergoes a full medical intake including vaccinations, deworming, and a physical health check, followed by a temperament assessment so we know exactly what kind of home they need to thrive. Rescue work is the heartbeat of K9 Gurukul. We see street dogs not as statistics, but as individual personalities waiting for their second chance. Our approach to rescue in Bangalore is thorough and deeply personal. We manage everything from emergency medical intervention to behavioral rehabilitation, ensuring each dog is physically ready and mentally prepared for a family environment. ### Our Rescue Process We believe in responsible rehoming. We do not do rushed handovers. Our adoption process includes a counseling session where we discuss your lifestyle, puppy proofing, and transition diet to ensure the dog fits your home seamlessly. We also verify housing and family readiness to prevent abandonment. ### Why We Prioritize Adoption We have seen the pain caused by irresponsible breeding. Many dogs from breeders suffer their whole lives. By choosing to adopt an indie or a rescued breed, you are saving a life and making a stand against this cycle. We provide all medical records and rescue history so you start with a clear picture of your new family member's health. ## About K9 Gurukul At K9 Gurukul, rescue is a family affair. We treat every streetie we bring home with the same care and love as our own, ensuring they are healthy and ready for a fresh start.
