Whether we are creating a fairy light tunnel or a starburst canopy, the secret isn't just buying more lights, it is about the spacing and placement. I manually inspect the rigging of every string so you do not get dark patches in your event photos, ensuring the glow hits exactly where it should for a warm, welcoming vibe. Lighting is the most cost-effective way to completely change the mood of a space. When I work on a venue, I look at the architecture first. If we are in a banquet hall in Mumbai, I use uplighters to wash the walls in your specific theme or corporate colors. If we are doing an outdoor wedding, I prefer overhead string lights to create a canopy effect, which gives the venue an intimate, starry-night feeling. ### My Approach to Lighting * **Structured Planning:** I do not believe in random light placement. I plan the layout based on your guest flow, ensuring the entrance is the brightest point to draw people in. * **Custom Rigging:** Often, venues have restrictive mounting points. I bring my own trussing and clamps so we aren't limited by the existing architecture, allowing us to build light tunnels or canopies where other decorators might say it is impossible. * **Versatility:** I switch my style based on the event. For corporate galas, I keep the lighting crisp and professional to highlight branding. For weddings or proposals, I lean into softer, warmer tones that make the space feel cozy and personal. If you have a specific venue in mind, let me know the location. I can usually tell you what kind of lighting will work best based on the ceiling height and layout constraints I have seen there before. ## About Jewel Decorators I am Kashyap, and for me, decor is about the feeling you get when you step into the room. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter setups, so I will personally walk your venue with you to plan how we can transform the entrance and lighting to match the mood you are aiming for.
