I demonstrate how to handle light, shadow, and sudden changes in medium in real-time, right in front of you. Watching a painting come together at public events like Chithrasanthe helps you understand that mistakes are part of the process, and seeing other artists at work is often the fastest way to refine your own technique. I believe that the best art education happens when you are surrounded by other creators. This is why I actively participate in forums like the Chithrasanthe art fair at Chithrakala Parishath and organize community art walks. ### Why Live Demos Matter Unlike a recorded tutorial, watching a live demonstration allows you to see how I handle the pacing of a painting. You see the setup, the initial pencil sketch, and how I correct or enhance details as I go. It demystifies the process. Whether it is a watercolour landscape or a portrait, seeing the brushstrokes happen in real-time provides insights into pressure, blending, and colour choice that are difficult to explain in words. ### Building Your Art Community Art can be a solitary pursuit, but it thrives in community. When we meet at events, you aren't just watching a demo; you are entering a space where you can: - Ask questions about specific techniques while I work. - Meet other artists, from hobbyists to professionals, who share your passion. - Observe different styles and approaches to composition. - Gain confidence in showcasing your own work in public settings. These sessions are designed for everyone, regardless of your skill level. If you have ever felt hesitant to show your art, or if you simply want to see the creative energy of Bangalore's art scene in action, these events are the perfect place to start. I often host these meetups to bridge the gap between being a student and becoming an exhibiting artist. ## About Jeeva Kumari I’m Jeeva.
