I focus on the 'director's cut'—coordinating the lighting cues, the music edits, and the backdrop visuals so that the emotion lands, not just the steps. My approach to classical and soulful artistry is built on 20 years of experience in stage craft. Whether it is an Odissi Manch Pravesh, a Sufi whirling performance for a wedding entry, or a contemporary Mujra piece, my job is to bridge the gap between traditional technique and modern stage production. ### Why it’s more than just dance Most performances fail when the lighting or music does not match the dancer's energy. I work directly with your sound and light engineers to create a cue sheet. This ensures that when the music builds or the tempo drops, the lighting matches that intensity perfectly. ### The styles I direct - **Sufi & Contemporary:** We focus on the flow of movement, often integrating modern lighting to accentuate the 'whirl' or the spiritual mood. - **Kathak & Mujra:** These are about precision, expression, and grace. I ensure the costumes and the music mix honor the classical roots while being paced for today's audience. - **Odissi & Traditional:** From backdrop conceptualization to prop integration, I help maintain the integrity of the art form while making it visually striking for a stage setting. My team, #TeamJavedSanadi, and I handle the logistics so you do not have to worry about whether the background track will cut out or if the spotlight will hit the wrong spot. We make sure the performance is a spectacle, not just an act. I travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and pan-India for these productions, ensuring that whether you are in a small studio or a large banquet hall, the stage is set for a professional, soul-stirring experience. ## About Javed Sanadi I’m Javed, and I don't just teach dance—I direct moments. My journey with classical and Sufi art is deeply personal, and I love bringing that same soul into your events, whether it's a grand Sangeet or an intimate stage debut.
