Whether it's a matte finish for a lipstick campaign or a luminous glow for skincare, my goal is to keep the final image looking clean, honest, and ready for high-resolution print. Beauty photography is rarely just about the model. It is a balancing act of composition, precise lighting, and collaboration with makeup artists to ensure the product, whether it is a high-end cream or a graphic eyeliner, sits perfectly in the frame. My approach relies on the philosophy that 'less is more.' Even in commercial beauty photography, where clean skin is the priority, I prefer to rely on lighting setups that sculpt the face rather than heavy digital airbrushing. I work with a core team of stylists and makeup artists in my Lower Parel studio to ensure the textures of fabrics, jewellery, and cosmetics are captured with maximum fidelity using 100-megapixel medium format gear. When shooting editorial beauty portraits, I often experiment with bold makeup and graphic elements to push the narrative. For skincare brands, the focus shifts to creating a sense of health and vitality, which often involves softer, more diffused light sources. Every project starts with a pre-shoot mood board and strategy session to ensure our creative vision aligns with your brand identity.
