From custom wall clocks to personalized nameplates, here is a glimpse of how I make art pop with palette knives and textured petals. ## Photos and videos - ![This 14-inch circular panel is what I call a "Valley of Flowers." I used a vibrant mix of colors and flower types, like peonies, roses, and hydrangeas, each sculpted petal by petal with a palette knife to create this dense, joyful bouquet that feels like it's blooming right off the wall.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/112bfaeb-af7e-41a0-a01e-c6a0fa7452dc) - ![I love creating pieces that celebrate special moments. I use palette knives to build every petal layer by layer, which means the flowers you see on my canvases are actually popping out of the surface. If you like this style, I can teach you how to do it yourself in my Bengaluru workshops or create a custom piece to match your home’s color palette. Creating art is my Jashn-e-Kala (art celebration). When you look at my 3D floral sculptures, you are seeing the result of hours of work with imported Russian plaster and precision palette knives. Unlike traditional flat paintings, this medium allows me to play with depth, shadow, and texture. ### Why this art works for your home Whether it is a 20-inch wall clock or a small nameplate, I do not believe in mass-producing identical designs. Every piece is handmade, meaning your artwork will have its own unique personality. I love mixing materials—incorporating fine filigree, glitter dust, or painting characters like Radha and Krishna alongside the plaster flowers to create a mixed-media story. ### Learning the craft If you have ever wanted to get your hands messy and try this yourself, my Bengaluru-based workshops are designed for everyone, from absolute beginners to those looking for an advanced masterclass. We start with the basics—how to load the knife, control pressure, and mix your own plaster—so you walk away with a creation you are proud of. Bilkul chinta mat karo (Don’t worry at all); I guide you from scratch. ### Ordering your piece Planning a gift or want to refresh your wall? Let’s chat about your space. We can pick a color theme that fits your living room or bedroom, and I will craft something custom just for you. Trust me with your ideas, and I will surprise you. ## About Jashn-e-Kala by Sakshi I’m Sakshi, and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by paint, plaster, and a few good flowers.
