When we step onto the field for inter-university leagues, it is that internal bond, rather than just individual talent, that carries the team through the toughest matches. We treat our sports teams as a brotherhood. Our coaching philosophy at Jamia Millia Islamia is simple: we do not play just to participate, we play to win. This is why our training regime is intense and focuses on discipline, stamina, and a 'go for the kill' mindset. ### The Path to the Team If you want to wear the Jamia jersey, you need to understand that the selection process is rigorous. We do not just look for skills; we look for athletes who can handle the pressure of competitive university sports. * **Eligibility:** You must have valid certificates from the last three years, recognized by official sports bodies. * **The Trials:** When you show up for trials at the MAK Pataudi Sports Complex, expect a professional environment. We assess you under match-like conditions, so bring your kit and your 'A' game. * **The Commitment:** If you are selected, you are expected to represent the university with pride. We have a specific path for student-athletes. Our sports quota covers various streams, including BA, B.Sc, and MA. We even provide up to 5% mark relaxation for super talented candidates. Remember, this is not just about your athletic ability. You are joining an institution that has produced legends like Virender Sehwag. We expect you to maintain the same hunger for success, both in the classroom and on the field. Whether you are a footballer or a cricketer, you have to be ready to work hard and support your teammates. We are building the next generation of champions here. ## About MAK Pataudi Sports Complex We are the MAK Pataudi Sports Complex, the heart of athletic talent at Jamia Millia Islamia. We treat our squads like a family, pushing every student-athlete to excel in their game while maintaining their academic focus. If you have the fire to win and the discipline to back it up, you belong in our team.
